Hi, sorry i put this thread up, again and again....

I was now been looking for other help on the web, but found nothing helpful.

So i had a PC running with the mentioned board. now it won't boot anymore and the monitor keeps black. The board beeps one short and two long ones. What does this code mean, so which component is destroyed?

Check for loose connections/fittings or everything first.

That might be the video card that is gone wild. If that is the original Matrox card that came with the system you can be pretty sure of that. What you need to do is add a PCI video card and leave the Matrox card in, then flash the bios for the system board with the latest ROMpaq for it, it will also fix the bios on that Matrox card, believe it or not...

sounds a little bit crazy... Which "ROMpaq" should i try and where did i get it from? Maybe i just change the video card, because i have another agp one but no pci. i will ask a friend for it.

from the HP website, you need to list the series and model of your DeskPro. (Not the serial number) we might be able to hook you up with the proper RomPaq.

As for the video card please try indeed.
