Before flashing the BIOS there was:
Award BIOS v4.51 PG
10/20/1998-692-596
W977-2A6LGM4CC-00
Chipset Via Apollo Pro Plus

I tried the first upgrade with awdflash and file 56VAF123.BIN which seems to be the wrong one. Afterwards I could boot from floppy and after inserting a different card I could also use the monitor.

When booting it tells me now:
Award BootBlock BIOS 1.0
BIOS ROM Checksum error

When now trying to upgrade with AWD789 or AWD812 and the boot file W6153VA2.exe I recieve always the message: ''System was not a new AWARD BIOS version! Please update ROM BIOS first...

Also using uniflash and same boot file without any success only error message is different:
File size does not match flash ROM Chip size.

RomBase:FFFC0000, memory dump at FFFC0000 ->(96256C2D)
Memory:XMSPos:00390000,XMSleft=32965632

Is there any change to get the MOBO back to life? What did I do wrong except using the wrong BIOS file?

Please help?

It's MS-6153VA. Download the correct BIOS (according to your board version) from http://www.msi-computer.de, then UNPACK IT and flash the 256KB file inside.
Patched and tested BIOSes are at http://wims.rainbow-software.org
UniFlash - Flash anything anywhere http://www.uniflash.org

You are correct! It works fine except the on board graphic card isn't recognized, but this should be no major problem.

Sorry for the trouble I've caused and many thanks for the quick response and help.

Kindest regards,
Sven
