40GB: A-trend ATC-6240 V.1

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

I am looking for at patched version of BIOS that can support my Seagate 40GB.

BIOS id today is 07/06/98- i440BX-W977TF-ATC-6240C-00

When I bought the drive I managed to get the it working with the help of western digitals EZ Drive software (I got it with my older 6GB hard drive). But somtimes when I startup the computer the hard drive is not visible in windows (2000).The hard drive has worked like that for about one year, until last week when I removed the battery on the mainboard as I was going to get a new one, because the computer keep losing the time settings each time I turn it off. Someting happened and now I am looking for a better solution.

My full BIOS ID is as follows

ATC-6240 VER: 1.1 02 WB

When I boot up the computer, it stops after recognising my 40GB seagate,
- on the screen it says "press F4 to continue" and you can not get any further. When the drive is dissconnected the system works fine.

which still has the bug.
