RAM or BIOS problem

Postby Mark Gamble » Mon Mar 25, 2002 3:22 am

Dear Wim

I Have a PC Chips M571 motherboard AMI BIOS v1.xx (dated 1998). It has 32MB SDRAM DIMM, don't know the clock speed.

I have just bought a 128MB SDRAM DIMM PC133.

At boot it counts up to 160MB then hangs.

Will a BIOS upgrade cure this problem?

Got the latest BIOS?
Tried just the 128MB chip?
Tried changing RAM slots?
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
