It has 4 X EDO Simm-(Each slot takes 32mb) =128mb Max
... and 1 EDO Dimm slot -(32mb max)...
I don't know a lot about memory, but i'm learning a little more each day.
... It's a clients PC - I swore i'd never mess with old PC's again, but got talked into it as a favour to a friend.

Then you have your answer -

128MB of SIMM is much better than 32MB of DIMM!!

Also...the i430VX can take both EDO DRAM and SDRAM in it's DIMM slot...but again, see above.

I've only just found out the capacity of each slot - But as i said, i didn't know 'diddley squat' about memory - which is why i wrongly refered to SIMM as DIMM... It must be a downer, dealing with idiots like me!
