Hi there!

SST 39SF020 is reported as unknown flash by Uniflash using VIA Apollo 133 Pro chipset on a 9VAAV mobo by Fast Fame Int'l.

Is it a supported Flash ROM?

Check whether there's a jumper or BIOS option disabling flashing.

No jumper/BIOS option to disable write protection. This is not an issue because I was able to hotflash several flash ROMs on this board with Uniflash.

Could this particular chip have a damaged software ID stamp? Do other mobos recognize the chip as such?

Does the flashing work if you -force the chip?

This chip may have a damaged ID stamp, but I haven't tried it on other mobos.

Would be wanting to try -FORCE switch, but what's parameters (xxxx) to specify for this chip?

Uniflash -chiplist
-> search the 4-digit number for your chip then use Uniflash -force with this number

SST 39SF020 is indeed a supported flash ROM by Uniflash. Got some good chips from other boards and all of them flashed with no problems.

The one I'm having problem with is indeed a defective chip, as it was not able to retain the firmware after a few days.
