Hi
firstly sorry for this garbled request very much a newbie here
I am trying to set up a wireless network (belkin)
but the two pc's I want to use wont recognise the PCI cards
or for that matter any other PCI card I have tryed all slots
could this be a bios problem?
also tryed new instalations of windows xp pro, windows me etc
nothing works
the details stamped on the boartds are M787CLM (pcchips)
I have tryed pcchips online help request but they haven't responded...
any help, advice or pointing me in the right direction would be very much appreciated

thanks

Hi Wurzle.
The best site for PC-Chips support is the PC-Chips Lottery
There are some of the regular contributors from here (like ajzchips and KachiWachi) but also a load of other people with PC-Chips knowledge.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.
Emails *will* be ignored unless the subject line starts "Wim's BIOS forum"

If it is an M787CLM, then it is the Amptron version with on-board LAN. Have you tried going into the BIOS and disabling the onboard LAN under Features Setup?

yes I have tried that
I could understand one board being faulty but both seems a bit odd!

if those cards want PCI spec 2.2 slots you're doomed, try and find ones that want PCI spec 2.1 slots.
