hi, is that prefetch files are really mandatory thing for win XP startup? im using an utility called "WINXP MANAGER" in that for increasing the OS startup speed they gave an option called"DISABLE PREFETCHER FOR ACCELERATING WINDOWS STARTUP", can i activate that option????

under P. You might clear out the prefetch folder but not disable it completely...
