Reso problem

Postby pa132435 » Wed Jun 01, 2005 1:38 am

Hey, didn't know if this is the right section or not?

I googled my problem, this site came back.

I'm using ME, my monitor is a winsonic1580. I saw a similar thread where they mentioned checking display adapters, mine reads SiS 630/730 and it says device is working properly.

I just reinstalled ME. I don't have any disks with graphic card or monitor drivers.

My resolution is stuck at 640 by 480, I can't open photo's and see them clear etc. I tried shifting the resolution by properties/settings, but it didn't work.

Does anyone know how I can change this?

Thanks. :D

Hey, tried the SiS website, got the chipset drivers.

I tried installing the VGA drivers, then got this: 'system cannot detect the device, please confirm the device is configured properly then restart the program'.

Does anyone know what's going wrong?

P.S I just reinstalled ME this morning, under display adapters it now reads 'standard pci graphics adapter (VGA) properties'
.
Thanks for the help Dennis.
