I have a Gateway Flexatxstc Bro 866 (model # 0021916545) that had WinMe on it and I was putting XP pro on it. After formating the drive, I through in the install cd, but the machine had problems booting off it. During the preinstall mode, when it copies temp files, it would freeze, never at the same place though. It would never install completley. However, the cd worked fine on other machines. The floppy drive was acting weird too, so I decided I should flash the BIOS. During the process, the floppy quit and it just sat there, after it was erased, and before it was updated. Now nothing works. When i turn it on, it just beeps at me. I put in the floppy with the bios on it, but it does nothing with it. Any idea?
