I tried running the bios agent but it caused errors and shut down.
So i ran bios wizard 2.1 and it gave me this report:

BTW i am trying to install a 40gig toshiba MK4021GAS model hard drive in my Toshiba Portege 7020ct I keep getting a no hard drive detected message. I thought that upgrading the bios might help

Lots of missing information in your BIOS Wizard report. Did you run it straight from DOS?

yep...it is pretty old P2 processor.
