Compaq Presario R4000

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

I just recntly bought this notebook and am quit happy with it. The only thing I would like to change is the Bios. Compaq just has it wound a little to tight for my likeing. I am looking for a compatable bios that would alow me to do what I want when I want whenever Im bored an playing. This is one of the first times I have had to come on and ask for help on a forum simply because I enjoy finding the soultion myself. But I have looked all over with no success for any online help of any bios that i could use.

I guess all you really need is the mobo... ATI SB400, I think the codename is South Bridge

Branded laptops bioses are typically very closed because they are meant for business users.

To be honest, if everything is working fine, I would not mess around with laptop bios. I would go pick up some old computer to mess around.
