CD-ROM-Capable BIOS for Pentium with 85C501/2/3 Chipset

I have an old Digital Starion 933 machine on which I'm going to install Linux. The computer has a 54-24482 motherboard with a 120 MHz Pentium and the SiS 85C501/85C502/85C503 chipset with S3 Trio video. The BIOS is listed as Phoenix Version 4.04 Plug and Play, Starion-FP 5120 Version 1.04R3 dated 05/14/97. That is the latest available on the Compaq legacy support Website.

It is not possible to configure the BIOS to recognize a CD-ROM drive nor is it possible to boot from a CD-ROM. Can anyone suggest a BIOS for this computer that can handle a CD-ROM drive?
