How to hot swap a BIOS

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

Hi,

Would appreciate if anyone could guide me on how to do this? Do I simply pull one BIOS chip while the comp is on and replace it with the faulty one and flash it??

Would be great if i could get a speedy response as i the comp opened up and ready to go

P.S. My hands were so much wet, when it is my first time to hot-swap, but hot-swap is really simple (the cheapest I've ever met) method to (re)flash BIOS chip with new (another) BIOS file...

Before I owned a programmer, I'd find an exact chip as the one about
to be flashed, boot the computer & run the bios update utility, the
utility would ask for the name of the rom file to flash, after typing the
name of it , it would ask to confirm do I wish to procede, Then I would
change the chip & press yes, & the flash usually went OK...
What I did discover though was that the only time I ran into trouble was
when the chip had the boot block write protected, mostly award bios's
I found....
What I would do to fix that was find a system that was running the same
chip that was also running an AMI bios, I'd flash the chip with the AMI
bios which would unlock the boot block, then hot swap flash it in the
system running the Award bios...
Now of course uniflash makes it a damn load easier for you to unlock
the boot-block..
