10 gig hard drive sv1021h samsung hard drive

sorry sir about the caps, iam new to this wims proggie, my hard drive is not working. it does not spin up when i turn on the computer, and it is recognized as a o mb hard drive, when it is a 10 gig hdd , but if i turn the computer on and off real fast then it comes on and works great! i was woundering if it was a bad motor in the hdd or could it be that i need a bios update. sir thank you much for your info and have a great day. sorry for the cap's letters everyone iam a newbie in the room

Sounds like it's dying to me. I'd replace it NOW.

I had an old HDD that needed a whack or two on the case to get it to spin up...dried out lube, maybe.
