Does anyone know if the newer Thiinpads (mine's a T43 model 266889u) support boot-block recovery? (As in, off a diskette, from a bad BIOS flash).

I've scoured the web and haven't found much.

And have also looked through many IBM/Lenovo pages. There are indications that something as recent as the R30 (how recent is that? - I don't know) did support boot-block recovery.

But what's the current state of things?

Just moved to this the notebook forum in case one of the notebook guys has an answer..
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.
