Compaq Armada 1750 upgrade

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

I have a Compaq Armada 1750, 333mhz, PII, 6333/T/6400/D/0/3. I learned that I can change it to PIII if I change the processor.
1-what type of processor?
2-what are the other parts should I change on my laptop? (i already added a pc100, 256MB ram)
3-what about the built in 64mb ram, pc66? does it adjust it self to new speed?
4-Any advice, any point i should see?

Since the system has built-in, non-replaceable PC66 RAM, I don't think you can put in a CPU that requires PC100 or PC133, because the RAM can only adjust down from PC133 to PC100 or PC66 or from PC100 to PC66. PC66 cannot adjust up to PC100 or PC133 and PC100 cannot adjust up to PC133.

I am sure the system will use the built-in RAM first, meaning that a CPU requirement of PC100 or PC1333 will run into problems with the built-in PC66 RAM, even if additional RAM supports PC100 or PC133.

In other words, your built-in PC66 memory is incompatible with a Pentium III CPU, because the Pentium III CPU will require PC100 or better.

Because the PC66 RAM cannot adjust itself to the PC100 or PC133 FSB requirement of a Pentium III CPU.

Anybody has any idea? More over I have read in internet that some people have upgraded thier armada 1750 PII to PIII. an example is now on ebay, have a look:

Can you identify the onboard-RAM (chip numbers)?

If it is PC66, can it be disabled in the BIOS or by jumper?
