i need a bios update for my chaintech 6via3 to make it support the 160gb hard disk!now i can see only 130gb out of 160 :cry:

can anybody help me?? MANY THANKS!

Your Bios may only support HD up to 128/137GB natively. All above shold be accessible withing your OS if it's W2K (and newer M$ OS) or Linux.

i have just upgrated form a 80 gb using norton ghost..
so if i had understand well, if i format and install again my win2k pro sp4 i should be able to access to all of disk space?

Yes - should be working. The partition on your HDD you want to boot from has to be within the Bios limitations thus below 128/137 GB.

it works only with win Xp pro sp1 :(
it isn't possible to di it with win 2kpro sp4? it's an old pc with a celeron 566 and 256mb of ram
