windows doesn' shutdown

Postby FiniX » Sat Apr 15, 2006 6:57 pm

I've just installed windowsXP SP2 on a SATA hdd and after installing motherboard driver (gigabyte GA 7N400 PRO 2) it won't shutdown or restart. It makes the specifical soun like it would turn off/restart but it doesn't (it frezes with "windows is shutting down"). I tried with the original cd drivers and with new drivers from gigabyte web page. I've installed winXP SP2 before on a P-ATA hdd several times with the same MB drivers and never had such a problem.
I could use your help!
