Hello all. I have this DataExcel PIII 440ZX mobo with this BIOS ID: 03/15/1999-i440ZX-W977EF-2A69KPWBC-00. As most of you know, DataExcel was an ambiguous mobo compnay which merged with chaintech. However, that BIOS ID is the exact same as the Protac MX320/322 motherboard.

I have found a BIOS update on kuriaki's site, but I'm not sure if it applies to my "DataExcel" mobo. I have found other posts on this site and others about the ambiguous DataExcel mobos, but i havn't found one post so far that has a good, solid solution to this problem.

So.. anyone with any advice? Thanks.

Thanks, Kuriaki. I'll try it when I have time. btw, is this patched BIOS reliable? Or can it be buggy? Because I'm building this comp for a friend and he wants a comp that works well.. :)

Just wonderin
