i cant found a bios update for my toshiba equium 3000M

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

In toshiba dont exist, i winbond dont exist my mother borad. it is w83977 (like a other post in other mensage for a packarbell, but not equal )

It is a toshiba equium 3000m. I bought a seagate 80gb hardisk drive, but my bios v4.51(yes these one dont support drivers over than 33.8 gb).

the problem is that i cant find, in winbond (the vendor for w8 (that dont aper in the wim's bios list of the vendors), in toshiba, in google.

What can i do?
Where i can find it?
I have a solution?

Please help me.

Muchas gracias, pero debo de ser muy inutil, por que lo unico que encuentro es esto:

que como veras, es del 2001, y es la ya afamada versión 4.51, y el disco, me rula en un modo que tiene por el cual del 80, se me convierte en un dico de 32 gb.

Sinceramente, por 48 gb me interesa seguir luchando.

Well, after checking the BIOS, it's:
10/30/1998-i440EX-W83977-2A69JG5HC-00

So you don't have >32GB HDD support because it's prior to 7/1999.
Curiously, it's a GVC board, but they don't offer updates.

Your BIOS could be patched to support upto 64GB, but you'd still have the same problem with your 80GB HDD as you're having now, so you're just not lucky. Sorry.

You might have a better chance if you email Toshiba directly, or just settle for a 60GB HDD (if you do decide to have your BIOS patched), or directly resort to drive overlay software without having to flash nor tamper with your BIOS.
