3.14 update

Postby yor123 » Tue Dec 12, 2006 6:46 am

Could you please mail the 3.14 update. My HP a1230n amd3800+ with the A8AE-LE mobo and xp media ran without problems until HP repair replaced the mobo because of a bum sound jack. Since getting it back the fan is crazy loud and cpu runs near 100%. Sent it back twice more, they once said all is fine and then reinstalled the OS without any improvement. I've given up on them. Thought it was just me with this problem..glad to have found this site..thanks

Uploaded 3.13

Postby ffwater » Sat Dec 16, 2006 6:53 am

I've uploaded the file 313.ROM http://www.mediafire.com/?fze3e4ynbym for everyone. I erased 314.ROM. I sent it out to two people. Edwin will surely send if you wait. I couldn't keep sending it out to all the new people who posted so here it is.

I'm trying to keep this an email-only procedure so I can send everybody a notice if HP/Compaq ever decide to release an official update past 3.13

Help

Postby ffwater » Sun Dec 17, 2006 7:05 am

I got an Uknown Device after installing Windows XP Pro onto a Media Center PC (HP a1330n). Anyone know what it is? I had an HP online helper tell me once it was "something old just for my knowledge installed and not used on the hp board."

Thank you. More information again.

Thank you Towermax. It was AMD Away.

My other question now is. Can I replace my HP bios with a MSI bios? With a sure safe way that someone has done it before.

If you could send me that update that would be great  .

I put 3.13 on my board a few days ago after having trouble installing a video card. My cpu usage has gone through the roof, and ive spent the entire day on the phone with hp. They ran me around in circles blaming my RAM and Hard Drive. Eventually the came to the conclusion that i would have to pay $80 to talk to a Senior. Supervisor that would "fix the problem." At that point I hung up on them and decide to look into the BIOS since I knew i just updated it and it was likely the problem.

Well, Just thought I'd share my nice little story with all of you. Thx in advance.

Maybe it's time to make a page with tips and tricks. Not promising anything, I'll try and finish it before end of this year...

Looking for 314.bin file too

Postby hedgemon56 » Fri Dec 22, 2006 7:44 pm

Could anyone send me the 314.bin file ... I too have a very slow PC and an extra snag... my USB ports don't work... but I installed a USB 2.o PCI card that works instead for now, till I get the slow problem resolved.

Update HP/Compaq SR1675CL with A8AE-LE motherboard.

Update 2... thanks Edwin, and Fred Deiss!
