Hi ! Everyone ,

I want to upgrade my bios , as my bios accept upto 10 Gb and it is AMI bios Please help me how i can upgrade my bios .

BIOS id : UNKNOWN
BIOS DATE : 15-07-95
BIOS SIGNON : 61-0521-001437-00101111-071595-VT691
BIOS TYPE : American Megatrends
CHIPSET : VIA 82C691 rev 1
SUPER I/O : ITE 8661/SiS 6801 rev 2 found at port 279h
MOTHERBOARD : UNKNOWN

Please help ! :(

I suspect this may be a PcChips M715 board, although the BIOS date seems too old. Check the image at the following link to see if this looks like your board:

M715 is impossible as your Board uses a VIA Chipset .
Folow the second Link ".. Do Not Know ..."

They look like twins, because they are....
Check beside the keyboard connector for the board Rev.

Yes i got it my mothboard is M730 , soory i made a mistake with last name it is not correct . help me where i can get file to upgrade my bios

Thanks for steering aggiy2k to the correct link Denniss. I knew it was a Via chipset but didn't pay attention to the image of the M715. Oh well, all's well that ends well........ :oops: :) :)

HI ! Everyone ,

Yes i get the file but there are 2 files now ehich is i have to dowwload one is of 1MB and other one is 2Mb .

M730 (2MB Flash Rom) (s730v204.rom)
M730 (1MB Flash Rom) (s730v61h.rom)

And how can i upgrade my bios ? Give me some instructions .

Either will be alright, though alot of people would tell you to use other boot disks to be sure. I have never had a problem with a Windows 98SE boot disk while flashing a BIOS.

Hi !

I have boot from floppy and run amiflash.com and awdflash.exe both of these program . It gives error " system BIOS does not have flash support " . i cannot upgrade my bios ? .

aggiy2k: Check the manual if there's flash write protect jumper. Try different amiflash version. You can also try UniFlash - at your own risk.
