release the vga, epa, logo, pci (that's the sis900 lan boot module) and awdflash. inject updated vga, pci (etherboot sis900 module), and awdflash8.16a which leaves 0.83k of unused space in the bios. the awdflash util is just stored in the bios for emergency flashing. the point is: i'm not sure if awdflash 8.16a will flash a bios on the A7S8X-MX (recognize the flash ic and successfully flash that thing). so if you could try reflashing your bios with the awdflash 8.16a util we could be sure that even in emergency the modded bios would work correctly. get awdflash 8.16a here.
thx.
-I have striped ASUS logo ans EPA logo.
-VBIOS updated to 0.85
-PXE updated to 2.1 (2.0 in ASUS BIOS)
-Standard AwdFlash not work with ALT+F2. Versions of ASUS AwdFlash from ftp.asus.com don't fit in the bios.
Well that's all, MODBIN and CBROM are great tolls to overclock and learn more about AWARD BIOS. Next steps, AMI BIOS .
VBIOS 0.85 is the last bios from SIS drivers. I don't know why the version numbers in mainboard bios are different.
My old monitor don't work at 1440x900, I can test the bug.
I have the following vBios
2.03 from asus
2.13 from ECS 741GX-M
0.69 from FOXCONN
0.85 from SIS Drivers
I'll made a new bios for you with the FOXCONN K7S741GXMG-6 VBIOS that maybe works (see FAQ of this mobo).
