goes to bios on boot

msi board (MS-6511) in a packard bell machine.
ami bios.

when it boots it goes straight in to the bios setup page.
if you exit bios it will then boot in to windows.

i notice when it boots the first message on the display is "goto setup"
before the normal display of detecting ide drives.

That is weird. I only have seen this on some Intel boards when the jumper is in diagnostics mode. Maybe it's time to replace the CMOS battery.
