Hi Everyone, sorry to be so thick but I can't find anything in the FAQ about the AMIBOOT.ROM method, can anyone possibly help me find the article about this procedure. Thanks again. Greenhighlander.

Download correct BIOS and rename it to AMIBOOT.ROM (if it's compressed, unpack it before). Put it on blank floppy. Insert it in the drive and power up. The board should read the file and flash it automatically (be sure to wait long enough - it will beep when finished).

Hi Gents, got it! done it! back up and running, everything fine! Many many thanks for everyone who helped, also got new bios in process so mission acomplished. will heartily recomend this site to everyone I know.
