Hello all,

Over the last year I have been able to crack open the MXM notebook graphics market a bit. However, I`m stuck with one major problem...

Often when swapping MXM cards, this results in overheating issues. Not because of the inaddequacy of the cooling system but much more because the fan does not react to the temperature or the resulting fan speed is too low.

I was hoping that I could tweak this in the bios, but the bios is locked for pretty much everything except for boot order. So my questions would be...

* Does anyone know how to unlock the hidden bios options?
* Is there a way to decompile Phoenix bioses to a point where I could change temp thresholds, resulting fan values and possible measurement sources?

If you have no answers to the questions above but have some general pointers, then I eagerly look forward to that as well!

This is basically a general question, but a solution specific for the Amilo series of notebooks or even the Pi 15xx (Uniwill P53) would also be very welcome.

Looking forward to your reply,

Ice-Tea

Have you tried "Phoenix BIOS Editor v2.2.0.1"?

No. Googled around for it and came up with Borg #1`s tools. I`ll give it a go. Thanks.
