travelmate dead after bios upgrade

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

i have updated the bios gor my travelmate 2310 , every thing went good, i noticed some problems with my wireless so i decided to flashback the old bios, i renamed the .bak old bios which i saved before updating and executed the program (bios updater) again but with the old bio file after renaming it, the procedure went to the end (i must say that the last 3 or 4 steps out of 11 went too fast) the computer had to be restarted but it stuck in powering down xp so i took the battery out to reset it but after that the notebook doesn't power on again only the lid for the battery is on all the time in front of the notebook, i tried to clear cmos so i opend the back and toook the small battery out over night (the only battery i could find) but nothing changed, i hope you can help me solve this problem thanx

Hmm, looks like the second bios flash went bad for some reason.

Easiest fix is a fresh motherboard from eBay
