GV r925128T Radeon 9250 not working on SE440BX

my graphics card gv r925128t radeon 9250 128 MB stopped working after updating the BIOS to the latest version given by Intel: from 4s4eb0x1.86a.0011.p0 to .032.p12 on a SE440BX mobo.

I tried the old bios settings (AGP aperture and pallette) but it does not work.

Any hint (on the settings or anything else)?

i suggest to load bios defaults, save, exit and reset. after that personal settings should be made.

Thank you; i did as you suggest: after flashing, i loaded default settings an then reentered my custom settings but the system hungs.

Just for trying around: what about to set PCI as "default primary video adapter" (nonsense to me beeing an AGP card, but...)

What about voltage (3.3 vs. 1.5)? The mobo supports 3.3 devices, but i don not know the card's voltage. Morover, supporting 3.3 means not supporting 1.5 devices? Anyway, the card was working (maybe overvolted) before bios update.

Maybe the card finally buckled under the overvoltage abuse.

More likely however you just need to start windows in safe mode and kick out the video card and restart to have it redetected. Sometimes bios upgrades wreak havoc in windows because they allocate resources different than they did before...

Thank you; I just wish I could.... The system hangs on the "Motherboard manufactured by Intel" logo (i assume this to be an "upgrade", i had no logo on the older BIOS) or, if i try to enter setup by F2, on the "Entering setup..." message. In any case I CAN see (so some video is going out the card) the BIOS version, date, RAM check and summary and IDE configuration.... and, then... NOTHING (No OS at all).

Sounds like hardware problem of some sort. Have you got any other card to boot the system?

yes, sure: the system boots ok with an AGP Intel 3D and older Trident PCI cards; and the radeon 9250 was working properly BEFORE i upgraded the BIOS.

Can I downgrade to 4s4eb0x1.86a.0011.p04? Does it make any sense?

no, i do not; and could not find it at intel.com nor at phoenix.com
