Hi again!

Well, good news for you: I have tested BIOS 1.1 and 1.6B1 with a preinstalled Knoppix on an 80GB HDD, and both worked like a charm. The BIOS found the disk and detected it as 81GB. Great work!

I did not find any errors in /var/log/messages, but got some others not concerning the HDD during the bootup sequence, less when using 1.6B1. So the later is the better, even when it tells LINUX that the board is ACPI capable and it isn't. ;-)

The bad news is that my old 2.1GB HDD really seems to be broken.

Thanks again for the great work. BIOS 1.1 seems to be more compatible with older HDDs, so perhaps you want to add BIOS 1.1 and BIOS 1.6B1 to your list.

René
