What is NBFID?

I was looking at an AMI BIOS and was just curious what NBFID is (if I remember correctly, it's listed under Overclocking Configuration, right above HT Frequency and HT Link Width). I believe it stands for Northbridge Frequency ID but I'm not exactly sure what exactly happens when you adjust it (i.e. - from Auto to Manual).

Thanks!

Actually, nevermind. I managed to get someone else to explain it to me. :)
