Fixing Bios ( read at least)

Recommended by Wim's BIOS...

I have a computer running fine, then i have a motherboard useless due because I failed trying to update the bios.

Now here's my idea: Could i re-flash the useless bios on the running fine computer's motherboard eventough it's not the same chipset, but the same socket?

... or how do i know if the ROM chip is not damage?


I will apreciate any suggestions!!
