Hi, I have a Compaq presario 2500 running xp which won't start up. When i turn it on i get the xp logo but then it just goes to a blank screen. I've tried starting up in safe mode but with no success. My gut feeling is that I've got a corrupted file but I really don't know enough about these things.
Suggestions would be appreciated.

| Sounds like your XP installation may be corrupted on the harddisk. Check if you have a XP recovery DVD that came with the computer. Boot using it.
