Post subject: HP M9250F BIOS Upgrade? |
|
|
First of all, Hello.
Great site
I have recently purchased an HP M9250F (ASUS IPIBL-LB) Motherboard. It is apparently a G33 Bearlake platform but I can find NOTHING about updating the BIOS. I would like to flash it to a NON HP BIOS if possible. I have a feeling this just isnt possible but I thought I'd ask anyway as I would like to be sure.
Cheers,
S

hi all, gonna add something,
other forums said that this OEM board is similar to ASUS P5K-VM. can anyone confirm? or is there a bios software that could compare or check? thanks in advance

sorry sir if you got irritated with this thread. it's just that sometimes that the OEM board can use the bios of a retail board. a good example is this one:
http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=544929&page=24
so this i why some of us are really crossing our fingers regarding flashing the bios with a retail one. it can unlock more features rather than the oem ones. thanks again sir.

I forgot to put in the word "automatically". Yes, there are some boards that can be flashed with the bios from a similar retail board. This is not one of them. Asus OEM boards are truly OEM for the largest part.

hi again,
is there a way to edit the bios? so that it can unlock the other features that the OEM manufacturers locked.
thanks
