Hi I have an Advent 7009 laptop which i need a new bios for (or a copy of the original i guess) so that i can update the SiS 650 vga Bios (see my other thread here http://www.wimsbios.com/phpBB2/topic10255.html which contains more bios info)

I have managed to find that the board is made by Mitac. there is a motherboard for a 7009 on ebay which states it is marked with 316671700002-R0B (I am assuming mine would be the same, as surely there wouldnt be any different ones?)

From a google search this comes out as a Mitac 8575 series motherboard.

Does this sound right? To find the bios for it will i just need a generic one for the 8575 series or with the specific 316671700002-R0B list?

Just had abit of a look round the laptop and next to the sticker on the bottom which says Advent 7009 there is "Model: 8575" actually printed on to the plastic casing. Looks to me like the Advent 7009 and Mitac 8575 might be the same. Ive had a look on google for some pictures and they look identical too.

Can anyone confirm that the number above is right, and where i can get a bios for it from? I currently have an Insyde Mobiepro v4 bios
