| hi i am new to this so ya. but my problem is that i have a client that has a HP Compaq NX5000 laptop that the screen will not boot up. she has taken it to geek squad and she put about 800 dolars into this thing and it still does not work. but when she took it to geek squad the screen was working and when she got it back it did not. geek squad says that it need a new screen. is that possible that the entire screen needs replacement? she replaced almost everything but the mother board and the screen. she also said that they replaced her video card and that did not work. could it be a inverter? or does the entire screen need it replaced. please relpy to me i need to know what to do. thank you

claim warranty on the repair. not sure what the geek squad are thinking but you brought it with working screen, they should return it with working screen specially after paying 800 dollars...
