Post subject: Intel D945GCZ + Conroe-L?? |
|

I have managed to find a website which pin mods the Conroe-L (LGA775, Celeron 400 Series CPU) to power it up.
I have also done some research and grabbed microcode files for those CPUs. (CPUID 10661h) and I understands that Intel D945GCZ uses EFI format AMI bios.
Is it possible to inject the microcode for Conroe/L into this EFI formatted BIOS? Please shed a light on the names of possible websites and/or tools that can help me do this.
The reason for this project is I have this set of beautiful BTX project lying on my floor and a beautiful Conroe-L in hand but I just couldn't get them to work together!
Thanks a lot!

so essentially you have a modded CPU for which you want to use the original CPUID on a board that is physically not capable of running it? Don't stare on power consumption only, it needs to be able to provide proper core voltages also. There's a reason the 400 series celeron is not included in the bios...
