Shuttle HOT591P and 40 GB HDD
I Bought a 40 GB HD, and the Bios won't detect anything, like nothing exist there, and everything is properly conneted. Bios is a HOT591P from Shuttle. Should the Bios at least detect something there, or I have to buy a new MOBO? Probably the best choice....

@Manolo33 :
Please open a new Thread for a question not belonging te the original one .
Try Spacewalker Websites for a Bios Upgrade !
If they have no upgrade for Big HDD the buy an UDMA Controller or limit the drive to 32GB and use drive overlay software .

I can use IBM harddisk 40GB, 60GB or 80GB even my mother board bios Hot 635 only support 32 GB clip by downloading DM 2000 (Disk Manager 2000) from IBM site for free.
Shuttle could not provide bios upgrade for my mother board Hot 635, so I use IBM DM 2000 to support my IBM 60GB harddisk.
Please try it and email me if you get problems.
