Post subject: Disable on-board video |
|
|
Thinking about installing new graphics card to support WinXp, etc. Current system:
PII 350 MHz
nVIDIA Riva 128 integrated video chip (AGP)
BIOS: Aware 4.51PG
Motherboard: BCM/DR737
I checked the BIOS...only option for video appears to be Init Display First. What do I need to do to disable on-baord NVidia graphics and install PCI-based card??

Check your manual - might be a jumper to disable it or it's not possible to disable
Select PCI as First/Primary display and use a PCI-Card
The OnBoard will run as secondary VGA
If you don't need it don't install any drivers for the OnBoard except of Standard VGA
