Seems to be an FIC VB-601 motherboard - the MI412 is an earlier BIOS version. Check out the following link for updates (now up to MI415):

http://www.fic.com.tw/techsupport/drivers/searc...dmodelname=VB-601

Very Happy

Thanks for your help, but the MI415 fix states that it doesn't support a harddisk greater than 36GB Sad

I have the new Maxtor 160GB harddisk...

Rainbow and other people are currently working on an universal fix for that problem:
http://www.wimsbios.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=122

Problem here is your harddisk IS bigger than 128GB. If no workaround is found your only option is an add-in controller card from http://www.promise.com

And then I went to read the actual page.

Quote:
1. Update CPU detect method.
2. Update new CPU microcode.
3. Fix BIOS can not detect Hard disk size great than 36GB

So they have solved that problem in this release.

Latest official Bios supports drives greater than 36GB but thisusually ends at 64 or 128GB .
Seems they have a beta here :
ftp://ftp.fic.com.tw/bios/motherboards/slot1/vb-601
But from the date no 160GB support .
