Hello I just built a new computer and when I started it all up I get the BIOS beep codes. I checked my motherboard manual and it said that the ram is not installed or detected. I checked the ram in my brothers computer and it worked. I checked his ram in my computer and it didn't work. So the ram is not faulty but how do I know if my ram is compatible or not?
I have an ASUS A7V400-MX motherboard
512MB 333MHZ PC2700 DDR SDRAM
I have checked around some configurator things and they all say that my ram should be compatible. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

What brand RAM?
Does the RAM match or better the FSB requirements of your CPU?
