Hi
I found this info for award bios...

Can something like this done for the ami bios...
I want to mod my AMI BIOS to break this hdd capacity barrier...

There's an APPLEROM (rom.by) patcher out there which boasts the capability of patching AMI BIOSes, but I've had negative experiences so far.

| All I can see is BIOS PATCHER for award and it clearly mentions oly for Award Bios

| bios patcher can`t break the 65535 mb barrier for amibioses now. only - 32gb (upto 64gb).

Hi apple
But the site says it's strictly for award bioses only....
And if 32 GB why can't 65535 MB...(this is not a genuine barrier)... I believe it will be much easier to patch this....

Version 4.xx of the patcher is only for AWARD BIOSes. Version 6.xx also patches some AMI BIOSes.
You can find links to it in the rom.by forum.

| I found it... Bios patcher ver 6 alpha 10 release... but it does not patches the 65535 mb bug... as apple rom mentioned...
