Post subject: Status of chassis intrusion detection sensor |
|
|
How to acquire (read) the status of chassis intrusion detection sensor basing on desktop Intel mainboards with 865 and 915 chipsets? There is problably also an option of putting down the history of intrusions into a log file. How to find it?
Thank you for kindly assistance in advance.

I don't know for sure, but you'd better read the chipset datasheet and look for the registers in those chipset's related to the feature you need.
Anyway, I think it's very possible that the feature you are requesting is hosted by a motherboard-dependent chip which is used for hardware monitoring. Perhaps, it's made Windbond or other corp. In most case, hardware monitoring and case intrusion detection is provided in one chip.
