Post subject: Can't update VGA problem - help plz! |

After having had problems trying to set up a 6600GT card I have been searching for a fix. The last things left to do is the mobo set up. I have a ECS SF2/661FX. I managed to download some updates from SiS Downloads but I cannot update the VGA and have tried several versions to do this.
Each time though I get a message that goes like 'Device not recognised..' or soemthing like that, when attempting setup. I have been recently trying to install the 3.65 driver.
Also should I update my BIOS? There seems to be a suggestion that I may need to do this for the 6600GT. My PC is about 18 months old and the motherboard never updated. I have isstalled Winflash but it dosn't work afor mend says the 'files are to small' when trying to install the .BIN files. I would rather leave the BIOS alone if I can since I feel a bit out of my depth there!
My PC is an Advent 3119 with 1024mb RAM, 3.0ghz P4, 6600GT with 77.72 driver and running windows XP.
