CD-RW not suported

Hi, the problem is that i've a new cd-writer and when i install Nero, it says that only work with bios after 1999, and mine is 1995.
The M/B in Zida Tomato Create Lxe-AT Rev 1.05 / chipset is Intel 440EX, i've looked for it in the web but i couldn't find it.
So i'd apreciate any help you could give me.
