Post subject: Adding RAM problems Advent 6520 |
|
|
Hi There
I hope some one can help me, I have bought 2x512mb ram for my pentium III celeron 1.2. I had found three websites that said the 6520 can go to 1024mb ram. However on fitting I get a blue screen saying I am not fully AGPI compliant, 512mb works on its own but not two. I think I might need to update the BIOS and I have the flashx85 for the webgine340S8 from download gericom but I dont know what to do with it, booting in DOS etc please help.
Thanks

Somehow I think you're running windows 98 or windows Me. They cannot do anything with more than 512MB memory. You need windows 2000 or windows XP for that.
