I recent flash my BIOS from a F4 to a F5 from gigabyte bios update page

now. when i start my compterm i get a ONE beep when it pass post BIOS before window,

what does one beep mean, i never got any beep with F4, but now i get one with F5, what does it mean ?????????????

also and i do not know id it has any thing to do with this or not but my compter some thime re boot sudden now since i flash bios update

1 long beep == POST has passed all tests, means that everything is alright. if you don't want any beeps just disconnect the beeper ;)

no he should not disconnect the beeper because if it ever happens that the PC wont boot, the motherboard will generate beeps, he should know about them

he could also reconnect the beeper to hear possible beepcodes if the board doesn't work anymore (for whatever reason).
