Post subject: Mobo dead after BIOS flash |
|
|
I've got an ASUS A8R-MVP rev 1.02
After a reinstall, i searches for drivers with the updatetool from asus. I got an update for the bios and was asked to install. I let it.
After installation, prompt for restart...
Nothing !
I tried to use the moboCD for crashfree... nothing
When inserted a floppy containing the first BIOS, i push ALT+F2 for asus EZ flash...i get 2 beeps and 5 beeps (all short), leading to VGA problems. It searches the disk, but i can't see anything.
Is there anything i can do?
Edit: it seems it is possible to use the boot block...they say it has to be enabled by resetting a jumper...where can i find that jumper?
Edit2: i've tried Quickflash, it then activates the floppy, but i get again the series of 2 and 5 beeps...
