which after a flash attempt trying to resolve a bootblock problem and the bios chip is unusuable-dead .
The bios chip of another motherboard a pcchips VIM816D (
VT82C691 VT82C586B chipset- ITE IO Chip- 2Mbit bios
is avaiable to experiment with
http://www.pcpartner.com/pcpartner/support/bios/VIA694.HTM
Can/should i use it to revive the bx133?
Can it even boot (bx133) with this bios due the the somewahat relativity of the chipsets ???
is there a possibility to destroy the bios chip cause of differenies in sockets
i mean even if you place it with rthe right orientation cause of e.g. voltage diffrencies etc ?????
