Post subject: ASUS Mainboard |

This might be staying towards a disallowed topic, but I have an ASUS MOBO with newest BIOS. I would like to adjust vCore, BIOS only allows 1.2v or 1.3v. My board is ASUS M2N-MX. Other boards in the M2N series are able to adjust Vcore outside this range. Could I install a bios from one of these others? Or would this kill the main board?
Are there egg-heads out there who "hack" bios'es for this sort of thing? Any pointers to other sources welcome. Thanks
Sp.

other bios would kill the mainboard. you're using the latest nov 1st 2007 bios?

It's possible the voltage regulators on this board are limited so it's a hardware problem. I think this is the budget variant of the M2N series so that would make sense.
